Players to Watch

Erling Haaland will be looking to build on his impressive first half of the season that saw him rack up 19 goals in just 16 appearances. The Borussia Dortmund striker scored a brace in the reverse fixture and he will no doubt be hungry for more goals on Saturday.

Julian Brandt ended the first half of the season in fine form (at least in terms of goalscoring and creativity). Eintracht Frankfurt are prone to conceding goals, and Brandt will be crucial to Dortmund’s hopes of finding the breakthrough.

The key for Eintracht Frankfurt will be Filip Kostic, who has continued his fine run of form this season. The versatile wide player has three goals and nine assists to his name in 21 appearances. And he has proven to be a handful for the Borussia Dortmund defence over the years.

Previous Meeting: Borussia Dortmund 5-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Borussia Dortmund cruised to a 5-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt when these two sides met on matchday one of the Bundesliga season. As mentioned above, Erling Haaland scored a brace for Marco Rose’s side. And Marco Reus, Thorgan Hazard and Gio Reyna were also on target.
