Midfielders: Emre Can, Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt

Jude Bellingham will return to the starting XI after missing the Hertha Berlin game due to suspension. His performance in midfield will be crucial to Borussia Dortmund’s hopes of getting the three points against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Mahmoud Dahoud had to deal with a minor injury earlier in the week, but he has returned to training since then. It remains to be seen whether Marco Rose would be willing to rush him back into the starting XI. So Julian Brandt could start in the number eight role. The playmaker ended the first half of the season with some impressive attacking performances. And he will want to keep his run of form going in the coming weeks.

It will be interesting to see who gets the nod to start in the number six role. Emre Can and Axel Witsel have both struggled this season, with the latter looking especially uncomfortable in certain games due to his lack of pace. Can is the likelier of the two to get the nod.
