Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in signing Amad Diallo, who is expected to leave Manchester United on loan this month.

The Borussia Dortmund bosses have been adamant that the January transfer window will be a quiet one for the club. But that hasn’t stopped all the transfer speculation.

The latest rumour comes from Sky Sport, who claim that the Black and Yellows are interested in signing Manchester United player Amad Diallo. The highly rated winger is set to leave Manchester United on loan this month, and is also attracting the interest of a number of clubs from the English Championship (the country’s second division).

Sky claim that Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Diallo is not concrete yet, and a loan move to an English club appears to be more likely for the winger at the moment.

Amad Diallo has made just three appearances so far this season for Manchester United, with injuries and a high competition for places preventing him from getting more game time. The English Premier League side are looking to send the 19 year old out on loan for the rest of the season so he can get more playing time.

The lack of quality depth in attack is an issue that has affected Marco Rose’s side so far this season. Dortmund were interested in signing Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan in the summer transfer window. But Thomas Tuchel refused to part ways with him in the end.

Diallo joined Manchester United from Italian side Atalanta Bergamo in January 2021 for a fee of 21 million euros plus bonuses.
