Axel Witsel (3/10)

Witsel was unlucky with the own goal, but he never really looked comfortable on the pitch. He put in yet another slow and laboured shift, and the St. Pauli midfielders were able to dominate the midfield battle quite comfortably.

Jude Bellingham (5/10)

Bellingham was Borussia Dortmund’s best player in the first half. At times, it looked like he was the only one playing with the required energy and motivation. The England international played a gorgeous through ball to send Hazard in on goal early on. And he also had a couple of other encouraging moments. But he started to tire as the game went on, and wasn’t able to make much of an impact in the second half.

Julian Brandt (3/10)

The theme for Brandt this year seems to be one good game followed by a bad one. After his excellent set-piece deliveries against Freiburg on Friday, the playmaker delivered some pretty poor corners and free-kicks against St. Pauli. He also struggled to make an impact from open play and made a number of unforced errors.
