Marco Reus (3/10)

Reus had a great chance to equalise in the first half but failed to beat the goalkeeper from close range. His decision making in the final third was pretty poor, even if he did look more dangerous than the rest of his teammates.

Thorgan Hazard (3/10)

Hazard missed a glorious double chance to equalise early in the game. The St. Pauli defenders had the measure of him after that. And whatever he tried to do did not come off. He was replaced by Donyell Malen just after the hour mark.

Erling Haaland (3/10)

Haaland said on Friday that all he wants to do is play football, amid rumours linking him with a move away from Borussia Dortmund. He had the chance to do just that against St. Pauli, but delivered a subpar performance. The Norwegian international’s body language simply did not look right for the majority of the game.

Donyell Malen (4/10)

Malen caused St. Pauli a few problems with his dribbling after coming on in the second half. But his decision making wasn’t good enough and most of his dribbles amounted to nothing in the end.
