Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)

After starring in Borussia Dortmund’s first two league wins of the year, Dahoud had a quietly solid game against Hoffenheim. He led Dortmund’s high pressing in the early stages and covered more distance on the pitch than any other player. His impact was limited as Hoffenheim dominated the game. But he kept his composure at all times and ensured that Dortmund weren’t overrun in midfield.

Jude Bellingham (6/10)

Bellingham helped set up the opening goal but wasn’t as involved in the attacking play after that. He won the majority of his duels and worked hard to keep the Hoffenheim midfielders at bay.

Julian Brandt (5/10)

Brandt put in another subdued performance and turned the ball over on a number of occasions. He lost the ball 15 times despite spending just 55 minutes on the pitch.
