Erling Haaland’s muscle injury is not expected to keep him out for long, and he could even be available for Borussia Dortmund’s next game against Bayer Leverkusen.

Borussia Dortmund received a big scare during their game against TSG Hoffenheim last weekend, as Erling Haaland was forced off with an injury. The Black and Yellows revealed earlier this week that the striker is dealing with muscular problems, but did not announce how long he will be out for.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Haaland’s injury is not thought to be a serious one and a return to the squad for the game against Bayer Leverkusen is not out of the question just yet.

Even if Haaland is unable to return in time for the game against Bayer Leverkusen on February 06, Ruhr Nachrichten report that he is expected to be fit for the Bundesliga clash against Union Berlin on the following weekend, and the first leg of the UEFA Europa League tie against Rangers on February 17.

Haaland has scored 23 goals in just 20 appearances across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund so far this season. So Marco Rose will be hoping to have him back in action as soon as possible, especially with a number of crucial games coming up next month.

Haaland spent more than a month on the sidelines with a hip flexor injury earlier this season, and his absence was heavily felt in the Borussia Dortmund attack. So there will no doubt be plenty of relief at the club that his current injury does not appear to be a serious one.
