Expected Borussia Dortmund lineup for Bayer Leverkusen clash

Defenders: Thomas Meunier, Manuel Akanji, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Raphael Guerreiro

Mats Hummels is unlikely to be fit in time for Sunday’s game, so Dan-Axel Zagadou should come into the starting XI to partner Manuel Akanji at centre-back. Marin Pongracic is another option available to Marco Rose, but he has fallen out of favour in recent months.

Akanji will have a key role to play in keeping the dangerous Patrik Schick quiet. The Bayer Leverkusen striker has scored 18 goals in just 17 Bundesliga appearances this season. And he was also on target in the reverse fixture.

Thomas Meunier appears to be fit again and looks set to return to the starting XI on Sunday. The Belgian international will be looking to continue his fine run of form.

Raphael Guerreiro will start at left-back once again. His defensive performances this season have left a lot to be desired. And he will have to be at his best on Sunday against Moussa Diaby.
