Expected Borussia Dortmund lineup for Bayer Leverkusen clash
By Tushar Bahl
Forwards: Marco Reus, Thorgan Hazard, Donyell Malen
Erling Haaland’s likely absence means that Borussia Dortmund will make at least one change to their front three. Donyell Malen had the best game of his BVB career two weeks ago against Hoffenheim, and he should start up front on Sunday.
Marco Reus has an impressive record against Leverkusen. And he also goes into the game on a high, having ended his goal drought two weeks ago. This weekend, the Borussia Dortmund captain will be aiming to pick up right where he left off against Hoffenheim.
It will be interesting to see who gets the nod to start in place of Haaland. Thorgan Hazard appears to be the likeliest candidate. The Belgian international has been in and out of the team all season long, and he will be desperate to show his quality on Sunday. Youssoufa Moukoko could be another option should Marco Rose decide to go with a two striker formation.
Steffen Tigges, Marius Wolf and Reinier will likely offer the attacking threat off the bench for Borussia Dortmund.
