Axel Witsel (7/10)

Witsel delivered what was arguably his best performance of the season so far. He kept things under control at all times and made sure that Union Berlin weren’t able to hurt Dortmund on the counter attack. He also helped start a couple of promising attacking moves in the first half.

Mahmoud Dahoud (7/10)

Dahoud reacted really quickly to set up Reus’ first goal. He looked a lot more stable and dominant in possession than last weekend despite Union Berlin’s high pressing. More importantly, he was also able to get a bit of rest ahead of Thursday’s game against Rangers.

Jude Bellingham (7/10)

Bellingham was asked to play in a much more attacking role, and he did a fairly impressive job. The England international did not always look comfortable against the physical Union Berlin defenders, but he still made some very intelligent runs off the ball. He also helped make the third goal happen with a good low cross.
