Karim Adeyemi is being heavily linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund. But the striker has said that he is only focused on RB Salzburg at the moment.

Rumours are continuing to swirl about Karim Adeyemi’s future, with Borussia Dortmund leading the race for his signature. The Black and Yellows have already reached an agreement on personal terms with the forward.

It is being reported that the two clubs are now in concrete negotiations over a transfer fee. Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl were both in Salzburg last month to hold talks with the Austrian club. RB Salzburg are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of 40 million euros.

Adeyemi was asked about his future on Tuesday, and the Germany international said that he is only focused on RB Salzburg at the moment. “As I have said many times before: My focus is in Salzburg. Nothing is certain yet. What happens in the summer, happens in the summer.”

RB Salzburg are set to take on Bayern Munich in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Wednesday. The game will no doubt be a special one for Adeyemi, who was born in Munich and also played for Bayern’s youth team.

Adeyemi is enjoying an impressive breakthrough campaign with RB Salzburg, and played an integral role in helping them qualify for the UEFA Champions League round of 16. The 20 year old scored three goals and provided two assists during the Champions League group stage, and he will be determined to add to his already impressive tally on Wednesday.

Adeyemi believes that RB Salzburg have the potential to make life really difficult for Bayern Munich in their round of 16 tie. “The pressure is on Bayern. We are motivated and have the desire to win. We can make life difficult for Bayern with our quality and intensity.”
