Expected Borussia Dortmund lineup for Rangers clash
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund will be looking to make a winning start to their UEFA Europa League campaign as they take on Rangers in the first leg of their knockout round playoffs tie.
Borussia Dortmund are set to take on Scottish champions Rangers in what should be an exciting UEFA Europa League tie between two quality teams. With the first leg taking place at the Signal Iduna Park, the Black and Yellows will want to gain the upper hand ahead of next week’s second leg at the Ibrox stadium.
Borussia Dortmund will be without Erling Haaland, Marius Wolf and Emre Can on Thursday, but Gio Reyna should return to the squad after recovering from the illness that kept him out against Union Berlin. Thorgan Hazard also looks set to make his return to the squad.
Here is a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for Thursday’s game against Rangers.
Goalkeeper: Gregor Kobel
Gregor Kobel has quickly established himself as one of Borussia Dortmund’s most important players, and he will start between the sticks once again on Thursday. The Swiss shot stopper kept a well-earned clean sheet on Sunday. And he will want to back that up with another strong performance against Rangers.
