Borussia Dortmund 2-4 Rangers player ratings: Abject BVB suffer deserved defeat
By Tushar Bahl
Axel Witsel (4/10)
Witsel wasn’t able to make any impact on the game either offensively or defensively. He completed 100% of his passes, but still failed to provide any impetus to Dortmund’s attacking play. He was taken off at half time.
Mahmoud Dahoud (3/10)
Dahoud made a few decent passes but also gave the ball away cheaply on a number of occasions. He wasn’t able to prevent Rangers from dominating the midfield battle and also lost the majority of his duels.
Jude Bellingham (6/10)
Bellingham was Borussia Dortmund’s best outfield player once again. And at times it looked like he was the only one looking to make things happen. What he tried did not always work out, but he scored a lovely goal and also created a couple of good chances for his teammates despite being asked to play in an unfamiliar role.
