Borussia Dortmund will be without Erling Haaland, Manuel Akanji and Thomas Meunier for Sunday’s Bundesliga clash against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Fresh after Thursday’s embarrassing 4-2 defeat to Rangers, Borussia Dortmund return to action looking for a response. The Black and Yellows are set to take on Borussia Mönchengladbach this weekend, and anything other than a win would pile further pressure on Marco Rose and his side.

Borussia Mönchengladbach aren’t enjoying the best of seasons, and currently find themselves just four points clear of the relegation playoff spot. But they go into the game on the back of a 3-2 win over Augsburg. The Foals also came out on top in the reverse fixture against Borussia Dortmund. So BVB certainly cannot afford to take Adi Hütter’s side lightly.

Borussia Dortmund will once again be without Erling Haaland and Thomas Meunier on Sunday. Haaland is back in team training but is not yet available to feature, while Meunier has yet to make his return to training.

Manuel Akanji, meanwhile, will be out for three weeks due to a torn muscle fibre. But Marius Wolf could return to the squad after recovering from his injury. Emre Can is also set to return after missing the game against Rangers due to suspension. He could be in the starting XI on Sunday.

Borussia Mönchengladbach will be without captain Lars Stindl. But other than that, they do not have any other injury concerns to deal with.
