Expected Borussia Dortmund lineup for Borussia Mönchengladbach clash
By Tushar Bahl
Forwards: Gio Reyna, Marco Reus, Donyell Malen
Donyell Malen looks set to lead the Borussia Dortmund attack once again despite lacking consistency in his performances in recent weeks. A good performance on Sunday would do the Netherlands international a world of good heading into next week’s second leg against Rangers.
Marco Reus scored a brace last weekend but failed to make any impact against Rangers. The Borussia Dortmund captain loves playing against his former club and has nine goals and seven assists to his name in just 15 appearances against them.
Gio Reyna could be in line for his first Borussia Dortmund start since late August. The USMNT international came off the bench on Thursday. And the hope will be that he can provide a much needed spark to the BVB attack.
Youssoufa Moukoko and Thorgan Hazard are the other options available to Marco Rose. The former started in the reverse fixture, but has only been used off the bench since then. While the latter was dropped from the squad last weekend and was an unused substitute against Rangers.
Steffen Tigges and Reinier will once again start on the bench for Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
