Thomas Meunier (5/10)

Meunier clearly wasn’t ready to play and never looked comfortable on the pitch. He suffered an injury towards the end of the first half, and was subbed off at half time.

Emre Can (4/10)

Can made some exciting forward runs, but most of them came to nothing in the end. He was a bit lucky that the referee disallowed Rangers’ third goal for a foul on him.

Mats Hummels (2/10)

Hummels had a tough time against the dangerous Alfredo Morelos. He did make a vital goal-line clearance in the first half. But it was his poor clearance that led to Rangers’ second goal and all but ended Dortmund’s hopes of pulling off a comeback.

Nico Schulz (4/10)

Schulz was named in the starting XI instead of the injured Raphael Guerreiro. And he often looked lost with the ball at his feet, not knowing what to do or where to go. The left-back made a few decent recoveries and also made good use of his pace to venture forward. But he also gave the ball away before Rangers’ penalty.
