Thorgan Hazard (6.5/10)

Hazard scored an excellent solo goal to give Borussia Dortmund the lead, and also made a number of important defensive contributions for his side. But he did not offer much going forward before and after his goal. None of his ten crosses found a Dortmund shirt.

Axel Witsel (4.5/10)

This really wasn’t the game for a player of Witsel’s qualities and ability. He completed almost all of his passes as he so often does. But his passing lacked directness and urgency. He was often too slow both in and out of possession. And he also lost the ball in the build-up to Augsburg’s equaliser.

Mahmoud Dahoud (5.5/10)

Dahoud played a number of intelligent passes, including one to set up Hazard’s opener. He initiated a number of Borussia Dortmund attacks, but also failed to close down Bazee in time for Augsburg’s equaliser.

Jude Bellingham (6/10)

As always, Bellingham was looking to go forward and make things happen. The 18 year old played a few encouraging passes in the first half. But even he began to tire as the game went on and wasn’t able to lead Borussia Dortmund to victory.

Raphael Guerreiro (5.5/10)

Guerreiro was heavily involved in Dortmund’s attacking play in the first half. But his impact on the game reduced significantly after the break.
