Borussia Dortmund to play UEFA Youth League quarterfinal against Atletico Madrid at the Signal Iduna Park

Borussia Dortmund U-19s are set to take on Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Youth League next week, and the tie will take place at the Signal Iduna Park.
Borussia Dortmund have announced that the U-19s will play their UEFA Youth League quarterfinal match against Atletico Madrid at the Signal Iduna Park. The club have also revealed that up to 25,000 supporters will be able to attend the game live at the stadium, and entry will be free. The one-legged tie will take place on Wednesday, March 16 and kick-off is scheduled for 16:30 CET.
Playing at the first-team stadium will no doubt be a memorable experience for the Borussia Dortmund U-19s, who have been in excellent form this season both in the U-19s Bundesliga West and the UEFA Youth League.
Borussia Dortmund U-19s defeated Manchester United on penalties in their UEFA Youth League round of 16 clash last week. Jamie-Bynoe Gittens scored a brace to lead Mike Tullberg’s side to a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes in Manchester, before Silas Ostrzinski saved two penalties to help Dortmund qualify for the quarterfinals for the first time in the club’s history.
Atletico Madrid claimed a 3-2 win over local rivals Real Madrid to book their ticket to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Youth League. They have a number of talented players in their squad, and are coached by former Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
The winner of next week’s quarterfinal between Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid will go up against one of Paris St. Germain and RB Salzburg in the semi-finals. The UEFA Youth League semi-finals will take place on April 22, and the final will be held on April 25.
