Borussia Dortmund will go up against Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga this weekend as they look to close the gap to Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund take on Arminia Bielefeld this weekend in what should be an intriguing Bundesliga contest. The Black and Yellows have a great opportunity to close the gap to Bayern Munich, who were held to a 1-1 draw by TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday.

Marco Rose’s side are now ten points behind their title rivals. But with two games in hand on Bayern, Dortmund have the chance to cut that gap to four points in the next few days.

Standing in Borussia Dortmund’s way on Sunday will be Arminia Bielefeld, who have lost three of their last five games and are just two points clear of the relegation playoff spot. They have also had to deal with a Covid-19 outbreak in their camp this week, with six players and head coach Frank Kramer in quarantine after testing positive.

Borussia Dortmund have a few personnel issues of their own. Marco Reus, Manuel Akanji, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro, Youssoufa Moukoko and Thomas Meunier will all miss Sunday’s game. But Erling Haaland and Gio Reyna look set to return to the squad after recovering from their injuries.
