Axel Witsel (5/10)

Witsel kept things tight and kept possession well for the most part, but his lack of pace also resulted in a couple of dangerous Arminia Bielefeld counter-attacks. His passive and slow passing approach was partly why Dortmund’s build-up play was so sluggish.

Mahmoud Dahoud (5/10)

Dahoud made a few sloppy errors, including one just after the break that nearly helped Arminia Bielefeld create a dangerous opening. He also played a couple of excellent forward passes, but he wasn’t able to help his side gain a foothold in midfield.

Jude Bellingham (6.5/10)

Bellingham made the first goal happen with a beautiful pass to Thorgan Hazard. He had some really good moments in the final third of the pitch, and was somewhat unlucky not to score in the second half. He appeared to be struggling with a knock on his foot, which prevented him from making as much of an impact as he would have liked in the second half.
