Borussia Dortmund closed the gap to Bayern Munich to just four points by claiming a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mainz 05.
Borussia Dortmund managed to see out another ugly win, this time against Mainz 05 with Axel Witsel scoring a late winner. It was a scrappy game with little to choose from between the two sides, but the Black and Yellows managed to come out on top in the end.
Dortmund’s win puts some pressure back on Bayern Munich, who are suddenly just four points ahead in the Bundesliga standings with eight games still left in the season.

Make that four Bundesliga clean sheets in five for Gregor Kobel, who hardly had anything to do over the course of the 90 minutes. He was helped out by those in front of him, especially in the first half. And when he was tested, he did his job quite comfortably.
