Defenders: Emre Can, Manuel Akanji, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro
Marco Rose could revert to a back four for Friday’s game following Borussia Dortmund’s disastrous defensive showing last weekend.
Emre Can especially struggled against Leipzig, but could start at right-back on Friday. Marius Wolf could also be an option for the right-back role.
Manuel Akanji and Mats Hummels will likely continue their partnership in the heart of the defence. Dan-Axel Zagadou will also be pushing for a place in the starting XI as he looks to earn a new contract.
Raphael Guerreiro also had a difficult time last weekend and will be looking to deliver a much improved performance against Stuttgart. The next few weeks could be crucial for the Portuguese international, and he will certainly want to make more of an impression.
