Borussia Dortmund came out on top in their Bundesliga clash against VfB Stuttgart on Friday courtesy of a brace from Julian Brandt.

Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways on Friday, beating VfB Stuttgart 2-0 thanks to a brace from Julian Brandt. It wasn’t the best of performances from the Black and Yellows, but they got the job done in the end against a resilient Stuttgart side.

Marco Rose’s side also had to deal with a number of injury problems, as Gio Reyna, Mahmoud Dahoud and Mats Hummels were all forced to come off in the first half.

Stuttgart had a fair amount of chances to get back in the game, especially late on. But Borussia Dortmund managed to see out the hard-fought win in the end.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 2-0 win over VfB Stuttgart.

Gregor Kobel (7/10)

Kobel was forced into action on a few occasions, but he dealt with everything his former club threw at him and claimed a well earned clean sheet.
