Marco Reus (6/10)

Reus was Borussia Dortmund’s creator in chief and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions. He was heavily involved in Dortmund’s attacking play and also got the assist for Brandt’s second goal.

Thorgan Hazard (5/10)

Hazard delivered a couple of dangerous crosses into the box. But other than that, he wasn’t able to make much of an impact on the game.

Erling Haaland (6/10)

Haaland wasn’t able to end his goal drought, but he was a lot more involved in Dortmund’s attacking play. He unselfishly set up the opening goal for Julian Brandt and also had a goal ruled out for offside late on.

Julian Brandt (8/10)

Brandt was forced to come on after just five minutes. But it did not take him long to get going, and he opened the scoring in the 12th minute. He then sealed the win for Borussia Dortmund in the second half with a well taken strike from the edge of the box.

Axel Witsel (6/10)

Witsel came on to replace Dahoud and made some vital defensive contributions from his number six role. The Belgian international made a crucial interception inside the Dortmund box moments after coming on. And he also played some intelligent passes in the second half.

Dan-Axel Zagadou (7/10)

Zagadou delivered a confident defensive performance after coming on at half-time. He made a number of robust challenges and helped his side see out the win.
