RB Salzburg director Stephan Reiter has revealed that they are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of Karim Adeyemi, and the negotiations will continue in the coming days and weeks.

It is no secret that Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Karim Adeyemi. The Black and Yellows have already reached an agreement on personal terms with the highly rated RB Salzburg forward. But negotiations with RB Salzburg are proving to be difficult, with the Austrian side demanding a transfer fee of more than 40 million euros.

RB Salzburg director Stephan Reiter has now admitted that they are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the potential transfer of Adeyemi, and the negotiations are on the right track. Reiter told Sky Sport Austria that the talks have been ‘interesting and challenging’, adding that RB Salzburg are under no pressure to sell the German international.

"“It’s as interesting and challenging as many other transfers. There is a certain process where you get closer and then a bit away and again closer. The process is going on right now and we are on the right track. We will see where the road leads.”“We have no pressure at all in the negotiations. We are not dependent on Karim’s transfer. Of course, strategically it’s important for us to generate transfer revenue every year.”"

Adeyemi is enjoying an impressive breakthrough campaign with RB Salzburg, and has 20 goals and five assists to his name in 38 appearances this season. He is attracting the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Liverpool, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig. But Borussia Dortmund are the favourites for his signature. The 20 year old’s preference has always been to join the Black and Yellows.
