Report: Erling Haaland not a target for Bayern Munich despite Robert Lewandowski exit rumours
Robert Lewandowski is being heavily linked with a move to FC Barcelona. But Bayern Munich will not look to sign Erling Haaland even if the Polish international does leave in the summer.
Multiple reports are claiming that FC Barcelona are interested in signing Robert Lewandowski this summer. The 33 year old is reportedly looking to leave Bayern Munich, but it remains to be seen if the defending Bundesliga champions will let him depart.
But even if Lewandowski does swap Bavaria for Barcelona this summer, Bayern Munich are not planning to make a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. This is being reported by Sky Sport, who claim that Haaland’s signing fee and salary demands are viewed as too much by Bayern Munich.
Sky believe it is possible that Lewandowski could stay at Bayern Munich for another season, before leaving on a free transfer when his current contract expires in 2023. Lewandowski left Borussia Dortmund to join Bayern Munich on a free transfer in 2014.
Erling Haaland, on the other hand, appears likely to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. The Norwegian international is being heavily linked with Manchester City and Real Madrid.
According to reports, the English Premier League giants are prepared to offer him an annual salary of 30 million euros, plus 70 million euros in commissions, in addition to the potential transfer fee that BVB will receive.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for both Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland. The duo are set to go head to head next weekend as Borussia Dortmund take on Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
