Marco Reus has stated once again that he would like to stay at Borussia Dortmund until the end of his playing career.

Marco Reus’ current contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 season. But the BVB captain has no plans to leave the club anytime soon. Reus has made it clear that he would like to stay with the Black and Yellows until the end of his playing career, adding that it is a privilege to play for the club and he sees no reason to move elsewhere.

"In an interview with Sky Sport, Reus said:“I’m very happy to be able to play at Borussia Dortmund, it’s a privilege. I feel incredibly comfortable and see no reason to make another move. I would like to finish my career in Dortmund.”"

Reus also revealed during the interview that talks with Borussia Dortmund over a new contract have not reached the advanced stage just yet. He was also asked about whether he would be tempted by a potential move to the MLS. And while he refused to rule anything out, he reiterated that he would like to stay in Dortmund until the end of his career.

Reus has made a total of 351 appearances for Borussia Dortmund since joining the club in 2012 from Borussia Mönchengladbach, scoring 153 goals and assisting a further 109. He is closing in on Michael Zorc’s all-time scoring record of 158 goals.

Even at the age of 32, Reus remains one of Borussia Dortmund’s most important and consistent performers. The attacking midfielder has 13 goals and 14 assists to his name in just 36 appearances across all competitions this season.
