Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said on Saturday that Erling Haaland moving to the English Premier League would not come as a surprise to him.

Erling Haaland is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, and Michael Zorc would not be surprised if the striker makes the switch to the English Premier League in the summer.

The Borussia Dortmund sporting director was asked about the possibility of Haaland moving to England in the summer ahead of Saturday’s game against Bayern Munich. “That wouldn’t come as a complete surprise to us now,” Zorc told Sky Sport.

Manchester City are said to be leading the race for Erling Haaland, with reports in England claiming that an agreement has already been reached on personal terms. Haaland has an exit clause in his contract, and the Premier League side will now likely look to trigger that clause in the coming weeks.

Real Madrid have also been heavily linked with a move for the Norwegian international in recent months. But now it looks increasingly likely that he will swap Dortmund for Manchester in the summer.

Michael Zorc also said that Karim Adeyemi is a player Borussia Dortmund “know very well”. But he did not want to comment on whether the transfer was close to completion. It is being reported that the Black and Yellows are closing in on the German international’s signature, and an agreement in principle has already been reached with RB Salzburg.

The next few weeks are set to be busy for Borussia Dortmund, with the futures of Erling Haaland, Karim Adeyemi, and possibly Nico Schlotterbeck close to being resolved.
