Pictures of the home shirt that Borussia Dortmund will be wearing in Bundesliga games next season have emerged online.

With the 2021/22 season almost in the books, teams are set to start releasing their kits for next season in the coming weeks. Images of Borussia Dortmund’s home shirt for the 2022/23 season have been published by Footy Headlines.

If the leaks are to be believed, the new home shirt designed by Puma will have a cyber yellow colour. The front of the shirt will have four black vertical stripes.

It appears to take inspiration from the shirt Borussia Dortmund wore during their memorable 2012/13 UEFA Champions League campaign. The Black and Yellows enjoyed an incredible run in the Champions League that year, as they made it all the way to the final.

All of Borussia Dortmund’s kits for the 2021/22 season were subject to plenty of criticism from supporters. And the club even had to make changes to the cup kit after it sparked plenty of criticism from fans.

Björn Gulden, who is the CEO of Puma, even apologised to the BVB supporters in September after the criticism of the cup kit and said that they will take their feedback into account for future jerseys.

Borussia Dortmund will likely release their home kit for the 2022/23 season next month, possibly in time for the final game of the current season. So we could see the BVB players wear the new home kit for the first time when they go up against Hertha Berlin at the Westfalenstadion on matchday 34 of the Bundesliga season on May 14.
