Predicted Borussia Dortmund lineup for VfL Bochum clash

Defenders: Marius Wolf, Manuel Akanji, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Raphael Guerreiro

There aren’t expected to be too many changes, if any, to Borussia Dortmund’s back four for Saturday’s game. Manuel Akanji and Dan-Axel Zagadou are both facing uncertain futures at the club. And the latter will be especially keen to impress as he looks to win a new contract at BVB.

Raphael Guerreiro’s future has also been thrown into doubt in recent weeks. But for now, he remains Borussia Dortmund’s first-choice left-back.

There is also a chance that the Portuguese international may be needed further forward due to BVB’s injury issues. One of Tom Rothe and Nico Schulz will start at left-back if Guerreiro is needed in midfield.

Marius Wolf is likely to start at right-back in the absence of Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey. Lion Semic could also be an option after getting the nod to start in the charity game against Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday.
