Predicted Borussia Dortmund lineup for VfL Bochum clash
By Tushar Bahl
Forwards: Marco Reus, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Erling Haaland
Marco Reus will be looking to lead from the front this weekend as he continues to close in on Michael Zorc’s all-time scoring record.
Erling Haaland has just two goals to his name in his last seven appearances, which is simply not good enough for a striker of his quality. The Norwegian international likely only has three games left in his BVB career. So he will probably want to end what has been a very frustrating season on a high.
It will be interesting to see who gets the nod to start alongside Reus and Haaland in the front three. Reinier started against Bayern Munich last weekend, but failed to make any impact whatsoever. So we could potentially see Jamie Bynoe-Gittens get his chance on Saturday.
Bynoe-Gittens scored during Borussia Dortmund’s charity game against Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday, and will be full of confidence after delivering a promising cameo off the bench against Bayern Munich last weekend.
Youssoufa Moukoko could also be an option for the starting XI if Marco Rose decides to go with a two-striker formation on Saturday.
