Report: Luka Jovic wants Borussia Dortmund move but BVB bosses are not fully convinced
Luka Jovic is keen on a return to the Bundesliga, and reportedly wants to join Borussia Dortmund this summer. But not everyone at the club is convinced about him.
Luka Jovic appears set to leave Real Madrid this summer after a difficult three year spell in Spain. The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker reportedly wants to return to the Bundesliga this summer, with Sport1 claiming that he has more or less offered himself to Borussia Dortmund.
The report adds that Jovic’s name has been discussed at Borussia Dortmund, but not everyone at the club is convinced that he would be a good fit. The BVB bosses reportedly hold reservations due to his high salary and the fitness problems that have plagued him at Real Madrid.

Luka Jovic, who joined Real Madrid for 63 million euros in 2019, has scored just three goals in 49 appearances for the Spanish giants. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, and managed four goals in 18 Bundesliga appearances. The Eagles decided against signing him permanently then, but now the 24 year old reportedly wants to return to the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund are looking for a new striker to replace Erling Haaland, who is likely to leave in the summer. RB Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko, Stade de Reims’ Hugo Ekitike and Sparta Prague’s Adam Hlozek are said to be on their list of potential targets to replace the Norwegian international.
Borussia Dortmund are also closing in on the signing of RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi, but he will not be the direct replacement for Haaland.
