Borussia Dortmund are said to be on the verge of signing Borussia Mönchengladbach left-back Ramy Bensebaini for a transfer fee of 12 million euros.

The summer transfer window hasn’t even started and Borussia Dortmund have already made two big signings. And they could be set to further bolster their defence with the arrival of Ramy Bensebaini.

According to SportBILD, the Black and Yellows are set to sign Bensebaini and Borussia Mönchengladbach will receive a transfer fee of 12 million euros for the left-back

Borussia Dortmund have earmarked left-back as an area that they would like to bolster this summer. Raphael Guerreiro and Nico Schulz have not been able to impress on a consistent basis this season. And if the move for Bensebaini goes through, the BVB bosses may look to sell the duo in the summer transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund also have the highly rated Tom Rothe in their ranks, and he could be in line for a promotion to the first-team next season.

It remains to be seen just how close Bensebaini’s proposed move to Borussia Dortmund actually is. But the 26 year old has been heavily linked with a transfer to Dortmund in recent weeks. Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus said last week that they have yet to receive a concrete offer from Borussia Dortmund for the Algerian international.

Bensebaini, who joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2019 and established himself as one of the best left-backs in the Bundesliga under Marco Rose, has just over one year left on his current contract. He has made 22 appearances for the Foals so far this season, and has six goals and two assists to his name.
