Emre Can will make his return to the squad after missing last weekend’s defeat to Bochum through suspension. The versatile midfielder usually prefers to play through the middle. But Borussia Dortmund’s injury crisis means that he may well be needed at right-back.
Manuel Akanji and Dan-Axel Zagadou both appear to be nearing the end of their Borussia Dortmund careers. The defensive duo had a very difficult afternoon against Bochum last weekend, and they will be aiming to do a lot better on Saturday.
Raphael Guerreiro has come under a fair bit of criticism in recent weeks due to his lacklustre defending. Reports have claimed that he could be sold this summer. So the Portuguese international will want to use the next two games to show that he deserves a place in the team next season.
