Borussia Dortmund U-19s have won the German championship after claiming a come from behind 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin in the final.

Borussia Dortmund U-19s have capped off their stunning season by winning the U-19 Bundesliga title. Goals from Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Bradey Fink helped the young Black and Yellows beat Hertha Berlin in the final on Sunday as they successfully retained the U-19 German championship title.

Looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat to VfB Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final, the Borussia Dortmund U-19s did not get off to the best of starts as Hertha took the lead in the 12th minute through Luca Wollschläger. But Mike Tullberg’s side found their equaliser eight minutes before the break, with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens scoring his 11th goal of the season to make it 1-1.

Borussia Dortmund U-19s continued to push for a goal after the break, and they got their reward in the 48th minute thanks to a lovely low finish from Bradley Fink. The 19 year old’s 36th goal of the season proved to be the winner, as the BVB U-19s won the German championship for the ninth time in their history.
