Youssoufa Moukoko was on target for the Germany U-21s on Friday as they secured their place in next year’s U-21 European Championship.

Youssoufa Moukoko and Ansgar Knauff both started in attack as the Germany U-21s looked to continue their excellent run of form on Friday. It did not take long for the Borussia Dortmund striker to make an impact, as he took advantage of some poor defending to make it 1-0 in the 17th minute with a fine finish into the top corner.

It was Youssoufa Moukoko’s fourth goal in just his third appearance for the Germany U-21s. And it set the tone for Antonio Di Salvo’s side as they cruised to victory. Jonathan Burkardt made it 2-0 from the spot, before second half goals from Tom Krauß and Lazar Samardzic sealed the win.

The result means that the Germany U-21s have now qualified for next year’s U-21 Euros, where they will be looking to defend the crown they won last year.

Meunier and Axel Witsel both started for Belgium, but it was an evening to forget for the Red Devils who were taken apart by a dominant Netherlands side. The Borussia Dortmund duo were taken off in the 67th minute. While Thorgan Hazard and Donyell Malen both failed to make the matchday squads.
