Borussia Dortmund have announced their schedule for pre-season, with friendlies against Valencia CF and Villarreal among the games scheduled.
The start of the 2022/23 season is less than two months away and Borussia Dortmund have announced their pre-season schedule. Dortmund are set to begin preparations for the start of the new season on June 27, and the first pre-season friendly is scheduled to take place on July 05.
Borussia Dortmund will take on sixth division side Lüner SV in their first pre-season friendly, with the game set to mark the start of the Edin Terzic era. The first-team players will then play their second pre-season friendly four days later as they face Dynamo Dresden, who were recently relegated to the 3. Liga. BVB’s third pre-season friendly will pit them against SC Verl on July 14.
Borussia Dortmund will then head to Switzerland on July 15 for their annual pre-season training camp in Bad Ragaz. They are scheduled to play two friendlies in Austria over the course of the training camp. The Black and Yellows will face La Liga side Valencia CF on July 18, before playing their final pre-season friendly against Villarreal four days later.
The first-team squad will then return to Dortmund to begin preparations for the first competitive game of the new season. Borussia Dortmund will go up against third division side TSV 1860 München in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on July 29 (kick-off at 20:45 CET). The 2022/23 Bundesliga season will get underway a week later, with Dortmund set to open their campaign against Bayer Leverkusen.
It is possible that more pre-season friendlies could be added to Borussia Dortmund’s pre-season schedule.
