Sebastien Haller has passed his medical tests ahead of his €31 million move from Ajax to Borussia Dortmund.
Sebastien Haller is set to seal his move to Borussia Dortmund after landing in Germany to undergo his medical tests. The Ivory Coast international is set to join the Black and Yellows for a club record transfer fee of 31 million euros plus four million euros in bonuses.
Haller passed his medical tests on Thursday and signed a four year contract with Borussia Dortmund. Reports in Germany claim that he will earn an annual salary of eight million euros.
It has been a very busy summer so far for Borussia Dortmund, and Sebastien Haller is set to become their eighth signing of the transfer window.
New sporting director Sebastian Kehl has already bolstered the BVB squad with the signings of Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Süle, Salih Özcan, Jayden Braaf, Alexander Meyer and Marcel Lotka. And now they have found their replacement for Erling Haaland in Sebastien Haller.
The 28 year old is coming off a very prolific season with Ajax. He scored 34 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions and helped the Dutch giants win the Eredivisie title. Haller also scored two goals and registered two assists in two appearances against Borussia Dortmund this season.
Reports in Germany claim that even though the transfer is a done deal, it is not expected to be made official until July at the request of Ajax. The Dutch giants reportedly want to wait until the start of the next financial year before making the official announcement.
