Karim Adeyemi (7/10)

Adeyemi marked his competitive debut with a goal. And while there was a touch of good fortune involved in the goal, he certainly deserved it. The 20 year old put in a hardworking shift for his side and had some promising moments down the right wing. He also had a few near-miss moments before being replaced by Thorgan Hazard in the second half.

Marco Reus (7/10)

Reus quietly had a really good game and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. The Borussia Dortmund captain did well to set up Jude Bellingham in the first half for his side’s second goal. His high pressing made life very difficult for 1860 Munich, and it nearly resulted in a goal in the second half.

Donyell Malen (9/10)

Malen set the tone for Borussia Dortmund in the first half. He opened the scoring with a well taken finish and then played an important role in setting up the other two goals in the first half. He looked lively and created a number of good chances for his teammates. And his performance is definitely a great sign going into the new season.

Youssoufa Moukoko (6/10)

Moukoko linked up well with his teammates but found chances in front of goal to be few and far in between. He did test the 1860 Munich goalkeeper a couple of times but wasn’t able to get involved as much as he would have liked.

Mats Hummels (6/10)

Hummels replaced Süle at half time and did a solid job in defence. He made some crucial recoveries and also played a couple of gorgeous forward passes.
