How Borussia Dortmund could line up for the 2022/23 season

Ahead of the start of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season, we take a closer look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up under new head coach Edin Terzic.
It has been all-change at Borussia Dortmund this summer, with a number of major incomings and outgoings. The Black and Yellows have been very active in the transfer market, and the expectations are high going into the new season.
Borussia Dortmund have bolstered their defence with the signings of Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle, while Salih Özcan has come in to add steel to the midfield. The BVB bosses have also replaced Erling Haaland by signing Sebastien Haller and Karim Adeyemi. While Edin Terzic has returned to the dugout, replacing Marco Rose as head coach.
There is hope that Borussia Dortmund can challenge Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title this season. With the start of the new Bundesliga season just days away, we take a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up in the coming months.
Goalkeeper: Gregor Kobel
Gregor Kobel enjoyed an impressive debut season at Borussia Dortmund, and managed to stand out despite his team’s defensive woes. He goes into the new season as BVB’s first-choice goalkeeper. And with a much improved defence in front of him, the hope will be that he can enjoy a few quieter afternoons on the pitch this season.
