Thomas Meunier (6/10)

Meunier had a strong first half and kept Moussa Diaby quiet for the most part. He also made an important last ditch clearance just before the break. But Leverkusen were able to enjoy more space down his flank after the break. He was also unable to make much of an impact going forward.

Mats Hummels (6/10)

Hummels looked stable and solid for the most part on his return to the starting XI. He did have a couple of nervy moments against Schick, however. But Kobel was alert to ensure that no damage was done.

Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)

Schlotterbeck marked his home debut with a confident performance in defence. He set the tone well with his aggressive tackling and cross-field passes. He did make a sloppy error just before the break that nearly resulted in a chance for Leverkusen. But other than that, he had a really good game and kept Schick at bay for the most part.

Raphael Guerreiro (6/10)

Guerreiro meda a number of dangerous forward runs and linked up well with his teammates in the first half. But he also had a few avoidable turnovers that could have been costly for his side.
