Mahmoud Dahoud (7/10)

Dahoud distributed the ball well and ran the show for Borussia Dortmund in the first half. He also showed great awareness by making an excellent reflex tackle to make sure that Schlotterbeck’s error late in the first half did not result in a big chance for Leverkusen. He wasn’t able to impact the game as much after the break, but he still put in a solid shift in midfield.

Jude Bellingham (7/10)

Bellingham made an excellent start to the game and began the move that led to Borussia Dortmund’s first goal with a fine tackle. The England international put in another high energy display, and won the ball back in dangerous areas on a few occasions.

Marco Reus (6.5/10)

Reus did well to follow up on Adeyemi’s shot and fire it into the net from point blank range. His goal proved to be the winner for Borussia Dortmund in the end. The BVB captain worked very hard for his team over the course of the 90 minutes, even though rewards were few and far in between.
