Karim Adeyemi (N/R)

Adeyemi made a very promising start to the game but had to be subbed off after suffering an injury mid-way through the first half.

Donyell Malen (6/10)

Malen set up Borussia Dortmund’s two best chances of the game. And had it not been for poor finishing, he could have ended the evening with two assists. Other than that, the Netherlands international was kept rather quiet for the most part.

Youssoufa Moukoko (6/10)

Moukoko made an encouraging start to the game and held the ball up well under pressure before crossing it into Adeyemi’s path before the opening goal. He did not have any real opportunities to get on the scoresheet.

Thorgan Hazard (5/10)

Hazard wasn’t able to make the same impact as Adeyemi after replacing him in the 23rd minute. The Belgian international had a great chance to make it 2-0 in the 50th minute but failed to beat the Leverkusen goalkeeper from close range.
