Midfielders: Mahmoud Dahoud, Jude Bellingham, Marco Reus

The likelihood is that Borussia Dortmund will go with the same midfield three that started the game against Bayer Leverkusen.

Mahmoud Dahoud has established himself as a reliable presence in the number six role. But SC Freiburg’s in-form Ritsu Doan will certainly provide him with a tough test on Friday evening.

Jude Bellingham showed his quality again last weekend, as his tenacity to win the ball back in the final third helped Borussia Dortmund score what proved to be the winning goal. He will once again be key to his side’s hopes of getting the three points.

Marco Reus has made a strong start to the season and scored the all-important winner against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. And he will be aiming to lead from the front on Friday as Borussia Dortmund look to end their run of three games without a win away to Freiburg.
