Mahmoud Dahoud (5/10)

Dahoud’s game was a mixed bag. He struggled at times to deal with Freiburg’s energy for the first hour of the game. But he looked much livelier after that, and also came close to scoring in the second half.

Jude Bellingham (5/10)

Bellingham had a few encouraging moments but also gave the ball away sloppily on more than one occasion. Freiburg’s pressing and aggression made it really hard for him to set the tone of the game.

Marco Reus (6/10)

Reus made a strong start and set up a couple of decent chances in the first half. The Borussia Dortmund captain dropped into a deeper role in the second half to get more involved. And while he did make some important tackles, he wasn’t able to influence the game as much as he would have liked.
