Edin Terzic was delighted with the way his side managed to come from behind and beat SC Freiburg on Friday evening.

Borussia Dortmund made it two wins out of two in the Bundesliga on Friday evening, as they pulled off a stunning comeback to beat SC Freiburg 3-1. Substitutes Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Youssoufa Moukoko and Marius Wolf were all on target for BVB. And head coach Edin Terzic said after the game that his side’s impressive fightback showed the overall quality they have in their squad.

"“It was a very intense game against a very strong opponent. We had to fight not to concede the second goal before and also shortly after half-time,” Terzic told DAZN.“We fought back, scored three goals through three substitutes and showed how good this squad is. Now we are going home very happy with the win.”“The strength of a team is not shown by the eleven players who start, but by the whole team. We are very happy with the squad we have.”"

Borussia Dortmund looked to be off the pace for the first 60 minutes of the game against Freiburg, and there was a sense of deja vu surrounding their performance.

The Black and Yellows went into the game having suffered defeats on matchday two in each of the last two seasons. But a resilient comeback in the final 15 minutes of the game helped them turn an impending defeat into three crucial points on Friday.

The comeback win will no doubt provide a real lift to the confidence at Borussia Dortmund. They have now overcome two tough opponents in their first two games of the season. And while their performances have not been the best, they have shown grit and determination to see out the wins.

Next up for Borussia Dortmund is a home game against newly promoted Werder Bremen. With new signings Niklas Süle and Karim Adeyemi expected to return for that game, Edin Terzic will be hoping that his side can keep their winning run going.
