Defenders: Marius Wolf, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck, Raphael Guerreiro

Edin Terzic was full of praise of Marius Wolf during his pre-match press conference on Thursday, and the versatile wide player could make his first start of the season this weekend. Thomas Meunier hasn’t been able to make much of an impact so far this season, and could be dropped as a result.

Niklas Süle is fit again, but it remains to be seen if he he will be rushed straight into the starting XI. The likelihood is that Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck will continue their partnership in the heart of the Borussia Dortmund defence this weekend.

Werder Bremen have scored four goals in two Bundesliga games this season, so the duo will have to be careful of the threat posed by Niclas Füllkrug and co.

Raphael Guerreiro is set to start at left-back once again. With Borussia Dortmund expected to have the majority of possession, he will get plenty of opportunities to go forward down the wing.
