Julian Brandt (5/10)

Brandt was wasteful in possession on a number of occasions and found it hard to get going. He worked tirelessly for the team but his quality in the final third simply wasn’t good enough.

Karim Adeyemi (6/10)

Adeyemi played Modeste through on goal in the 25th minute. He also had a golden chance to double Borussia Dortmund’s lead in the 58th minute, but his initial effort was saved before he fired the rebound over the bar.

Anthony Modeste (7/10)

Modeste looked much more active and opened his account for Borussia Dortmund with a fine header in the first half. He did miss a couple of big chances, but his movement was much better and he finally looked to be on the same wavelength as his teammates.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (5/10)

Bynoe-Gittens came on to replace Adeyemi but wasn’t able to make any real impact on the game. He had a decent chance to score late on but wasn’t able to beat the goalkeeper from close range.
