Predicted Borussia Dortmund lineup for Hoffenheim clash

Forwards: Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Julian Brandt, Anthony Modeste

Fresh off his goal against Hertha Berlin, Anthony Modeste is set to lead the line for Borussia Dortmund against Hoffenheim on Friday. The former Köln striker will be tightly marked by Hoffenheim’s back three. And he will have to be at his best if he wants to find the target again.

It will be interesting to see which two players start alongside Modeste in the front three. Karim Adeyemi’s recent struggles with a toe injury mean that it would be better not to rush him back into the starting XI. And with Donyell Malen still sidelined, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens could start as the main out-and-out winger for the Black and Yellows against Hoffenheim.

Julian Brandt has not been able to make much of an impact so far. But he could keep his place in the starting XI due to the lack of available alternatives.

Gio Reyna is probably not yet ready to play from the start, while Thorgan Hazard has looked off the pace so far. Playing Youssoufa Moukoko up front along with Anthony Modeste could be another interesting option for Edin Terzic.
