Following the close of the summer transfer window, we take a look at Borussia Dortmund’s squad depth for the 2022/2023 season.  Several players will be crucial to the success of the team, while there are many that could share time with both the first team and the U-23 side.  There are also a few “sleeper” players that we think will end up being essential parts of the Dortmund team.

There is always great intrigue during the first month or so of competitive action surrounding clubs’ squad depth.  Fans and onlookers are always curious as to how teams will incorporate the new summer signings into the mix.  There are those players who have been in the team for several seasons but have struggled to really cement their status as a crucial star.  For many teams – especially Borussia Dortmund – people also want to see how the team will utilize the young talent waiting in the fold for their chance to shine.
